Well-Known Man Dies
at Family Residence on
West Locust Street

Louis J. Birner, aged 62 years, died at the family residence, 68 West Locust Street, shortly before three a.m. He had been sick for about two months, but had been confined to his room for about three weeks.

Mr. Birner was well-known throughout Dubuque County, where he had been bridge builder for the county for twenty-five years. He is survived by his wife and seven children. John, Nettie, Peter, Mrs. Beck, Fred, Frank and Bart.

The funeral will take place on Friday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial will take place at Mt. Olivet.
