John Welsh, a well-known resident of the lower part of the city, died at St. Anthony’s Home for the aged at 6 o’clock p.m. Death was due to general breakdown, the result of extreme old age. Mr. Welsh was born in Ireland and came to this country about sixty years ago. The greater portion of his life since he immigrated was spent in this city. His wife died several years ago. The funeral was held Monday morning and was largely attended.
