Eloise Clark Lundin, 84, of Burbank, Calif., formerly of Dubuque, died peacefully Saturday, April 24, 2004, following a brief illness.

A memorial service to celebrate her life was held May 22 in California at the Toluca Lake United Methodist Church, where she was a member. A second service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mueller Memorial Chapel at Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque. She will be buried alongside her family in Linwood Cemetery. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Nov. 19, 1919, in West Union, Iowa, daughter of Charles and Emma (Truesdale) Clark. She was raised in West Union, and then moved to Dubuque.

She attended the University of Dubuque, and in 1941, married Army Air Corps pilot Robert J. Lundin. After her children were grown, she worked as a Realtor at Lundin Realty on Grandview Avenue.

Eloise was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and her children and grandchildren were her life. After moving from Dubuque in 1980, she lived in Phoenix, Ariz., Vancouver, Wash., and Burbank, so that she could be near her grandchildren.

She was so proud of the fact that after moving to Burbank, she became a travel agent at the age of 70. This career gave her the opportunity to travel extensively abroad during that time, as well as locally to visit her family and friends. She was the only travel agent to win a trip to Malaysia and Singapore three years in a row.

She lived a very active life and loved socializing with family and friends. Her love and warmth touched many people, and we'll miss her so much.

Surviving are her daughters, Reggie (Ron) Peters, of Burbank, and Sharon (Bill) Rombeau, of Toluca Lake, Calif.; her son, Chip (Marcia) Lundin, of Bettendorf, Iowa; three granddaughters, Heather Lundin Pfaff, of Vancouver, and Kira and Nicole Rombeau, both of Toluca Lake; a grandson, Rob Lundin, of Iowa City; two great-grandchildren, Cori and Chance Lowden, both of Vancouver; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity.

Addresses of family members are available at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, Dubuque.
