Virginia A. Kolfenbach, age 87, of Oak Park Place, formerly of Wood St., passed away peacefully at 6:05 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at home.

To honor Virginia's life, private family services will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Chapel. Entombment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street, is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia was born on May 29, 1927, in Dubuque, IA, daughter of Benjamin and Marie (Rooney) Kolfenbach.

Virginia was a lifelong member of Nativity Catholic Church. She worked at Dubuque Medical Associates for 40+ years for Doctor Barton and in the lab.

Virginia is survived by a niece, Mary Ann (Lesley) Oldham, Coon Rapids, MN; a nephew, James (Vickie) Oldham, Peosta, IA; a great niece, Heather (Joe) Lefevre; a great-nephew, Chad (Amy) Oldham; great-grand nieces, Camber Oldham and Olive Lefevre; great-grand nephew, Leo Lefevre.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Jeanette M. Kolfenbach, Edith Oldham-Schon and Loretta Kolfenbach and brothers-in-law, Francis "Joe" Oldham and Francis "Bud" Schon.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at Oak Park Place and Hospice of Dubuque for the love and care they gave to Virginia.
