Marie E. Zwack, 82, of 196 Kaufman Ave. died at 8:10 a.m. June 15, 1989, at home, of natural causes.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. today at the Gene Siegert & Son Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where memorial services will be said by the Ladies Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 9663 at 7 p.m. and the wake service will be said at 8 p.m.

Mrs. Zwack was born on Oct. 13, 1906, in Dubuque, daughter of Albert and Eldora (Kascel) Flick. Her husband Frank Zwack died on March 21, 1968. She graduated from the Bayless Business College. She was a member of St. Patrick's Rosary Society. She formerly was a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She was past secretary and president of the Dubuque VFW Auxiliary 508. She was VFW district president and served as president of the Iowa Department VFW Auxiliary in 1951.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Ellanor) Jochum and Jane Regan, both of Dubuque; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Vincent (Bernice) Strueber and Myrtle Noel, both of Dubuque, and Sister Marie Flick, RSM, of Farmington, Mich; and a brother, Lyle of Seattle.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Joan) Purcell, Aug. 15, 1988.
