Agnes R. Pier, 77, 1695 Mount Pleasant, died at 4:55 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, at Heritage Manor.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where there will be a wake service at 6 p.m.

She was a receptionist for Dr. Philip Lockhart.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1920, in South Garryowen, Iowa, daughter of Dennis and Sarah (Ward) Kinsella.

She graduated from the former Bayless Business College, Dubuque, and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. She enjoyed playing euchre.

Surviving are two daughters, Judi Pierick, of Des Moines, and Jayne (Thomas) Clemens, of Dubuque; three grandchildren, Mark, Ryan and Christy Pierick; two step-grandchildren, Vicki (Tom) Gloeckner and Lora Clemens.

In lieu of flowers, an Agnes R. Pier Memorial Fund has been established.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert K. Pier, in 1995; and a sister, Rosella Freymann.
