Mrs. Annie E. Fern Dies at Her
Home, 1554 Atlantic Avenue

Mrs. Anna E. Fern of 1554 Atlantic Avenue died last night at 6 o’clock after a brief illness. Deceased was born in Wheeling, West Virginia coming to Dubuque with her parents in 1840. From that time until her death she made her home in that city. Mrs. Fern was a devout Christian and for many years a member of the Grandview Avenue Methodist Church from where the funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon.

Eight children survive deceased, four sons, Ira, John, J. A. and B. W. all of this city and four daughters, Mrs. Alice Carver, Clarksville, Iowa; Mrs. W. A. Cadman, Lincoln, Neb.; Mrs. E. P. Stokes, Armstrong, Iowa; and Miss Nancy J. Fern of this city. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The body will be interred in the Asbury Cemetery.
