Thomas Walsh who died at St. Anthony’s Home in this city Thursday was buried yesterday in St. Philomena’s Cemetery. The deceased was a native of Ireland, and was also a veteran of the civil war. He came to America when very young, and to Dubuque about the year 1836 and had resided in this city and county almost continuously ever since. He was married many years ago and his wife died in 1861. Deceased was a carpenter by trade, and was quite well-known. He is survived by two brothers, John of Marcus, Iowa and William of Dubuque, also two sisters, Mrs. Dennis Flanagan and Mrs. Joseph McCuen of this city.
