Passes Away

Cascade, Iowa, March 5, - Robert Macomber, an aged resident of and citizen of Cascade and Dubuque, died at his home in this city, Sunday. Deceased was born in Pennsylvania in 1832 and came to Dubuque in 1840, where he has ever since resided. His former wife died in 1860, and in 1872 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary McBride. Two sons and one daughter, children of the first wife are living. They are Charles and George B. of Cascade, and Mrs. John Cowen, of Winterset, Iowa. Four children from his second marriage are among the survivors. They are Elsie, Gussie, Mabel and Arthur, all of Cascade. Deceased is also survived by two brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Macomber had a very wide acquaintance in this vicinity and was a man of high character. The funeral will take place this morning, with services at the Methodist church.
