Well Known Lady Passes Away
Late Yesterday Afternoon at Her
Home on Audubon Street

Mrs. Christine Wimmer, aged 54 years, passed to the great beyond yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the family residence, 1554 Audubon Street. Mrs. Wimmer was born in Roth, Wuertemberg, Germany, emigrating to this country in 1850. For nine years she lived in Pennsylvania, coming to Dubuque in 1860, where she has since lived. For many years the deceased was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Failing health prevented her from attending services for the past year but in all her suffering she bore up with truly Christian fortitude. John Wimmer, only child, is left to mourn her loss. Three sisters and one brother also survive her. The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 o’clock to St. John’s.
