Eugene Anderson, well known civil engineer, died at Finley hospital Saturday morning at 12:10 o'clock. He had been ill for several weeks. The body is at the Egelhof chapel, from where the funeral will be geld Monday afternoon with services at 2 o'clock at the Masonic Temple. Services at the graveside in Linwood will be under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge with Knights Templar escort.
Mr. Anderson was born in Dubuque Oct. 18, 1858, and had always resided in this city. He was the son of the late Alexander and Sarah J. Anderson, pioneers of this locality. He attended the Methodist Episcopal church. He was affiliated with Masonic Lodge, No. 125, A.F.and A.M.,Dubuque chapter, No. 3, R.A.M., Dubuque council, Siloam Commandery, No.3 Knights Templar, DeMolay Consistory, Clinton, Dubuque Low Twelve Club and the Knights of Pythias.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his widow, Mrs Carrie B. Anderson; two sisters, Mrs G.W. Launspach, Grotton. S.D., Mrs Cora Anderson, Sioux City, Ia; two brothers, Dr E.T. Anderson, Excelsior, Minn., and William Anderson, Newberg, Ore.
