MISS ELEANOR RUTH AITCHISON

Miss Eleanor Ruth Aitchison, 83, of Epworth died at 3 p.m. Sunday at Luther Manor. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Egelhof Funeral Home. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Egelhof’s.

Miss Aitchison was born in Cascade and was a teacher in the Epworth High School for almost 40 years. She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church, the W.S.C.S., and the Garden Club. She earned her B.A. At the University of Dubuque and her M.A. at Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.

Surviving are two sisters, Miss Anna M. Aitchison, Mrs. Dale (Lucile) Welsh, both of Dubuque; two brothers, Edward C. Aitchison, of Billings, Montana, and John A. Aitchison of Galesburg, Ill., and fourteen nieces and nephews.

Memorial may be given to the Epworth United Methodist Church.
