Patricia G. Moes, 89, of Stonehill Care Center, formerly of 1484 Auburn St., died Friday, May 27, 2011, at Stonehill.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Nativity Catholic Church, with the Rev. Mark Ressler officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 30, at Siegert-Casper Colonial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 390 N. Grandview Ave.

She was born on May 26, 1922, in Key West, Iowa, daughter of Elmer and Gertrude (Dolan) Pillard. She graduated from the Visitation Academy in 1939.

She married Edward F. Moes on Oct. 27, 1942, in Oklahoma City; he preceded her in death on July 23, 1990.

Pat was a member of Nativity Parish and the Nativity Rosary Society.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother (Nana) and friend. Pat thoroughly enjoyed what she called "the best job in the world," staying home and raising her seven children. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her warm hugs and her strong faith in God. (And her wild assortment of glasses and colored shoes). Pat never had a bad word to say about anyone.

Surviving are four sons, Steve (Vicki Grether) Moes, Jon Douglas Moes and Mike (Tina) Moes, all of Dubuque, and Mark Moes, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three daughters, Kathy Huber, of Montgomery, Ala., Kris (Rick) Helbing, of Nokomis, Fla., and Connie (Greg) Burbach, of Dubuque; 12 grandchildren, Russ (Abbie) Huber and Ryan Huber, Michele (John) Pasui, Nicole (Brian) Bourke, Christina (Matt) Legris, David Moes, Sarah (Jay) Harris, Katie (Quentin) Smith, Ryan and Maggie Burbach, Emily and Matt Moes, and 15 great-grandchildren.
