John S. Covel, Esq., for several years a practicing lawyer in Dubuque and partner of Gen. Hodgon, died at his residence yesterday morning from disease of the brain. His health had not been good for several months, yet his condition was not deemed critical until two or three days ago. He had been married just sixteen days.
