FOURTH OF JULY AT CASCADE – The citizens of Cascade, without distinction, are making extensive preparations to celebrate the coming of the Fourth of July in a manner never before attempted in that town. Speeches will be made by Hon. Judge Burt (?)s, J. H. O’Neil, Prof. Nolan, and J. M. King, the two latter of Cascade. A large procession will be formed led by the Brass Band, now forming in that village. The celebration will end with a grand ball at Benham’s in the evening. For a visit out of town on that day we know of no more beautiful spot in this county than Cascade. The town is pleasantly situated on the Maquoketa River and is just a fair drive from this city, through one of the finest farming regions in this State.
