Dolores V. Urbain, 99, of Cascade, Iowa, died Sunday evening, May 22, 2016 at Shady Rest Care Center in Cascade, Iowa.

Friends and relatives of Dolores may call from 2 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa, where a wake service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Services for Dolores will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2016 at St. Martins Catholic Church in Cascade, Iowa, with Rev. Douglas Loecke Presiding and Rev. Joseph McDermott S.V.D, Concelebrating. Burial was held in St. John's Cemetery in Placid, Iowa.

Dolores was born February 12, 1917 in Dyersville, Iowa, daughter of Percy and Alice (Huber) Leib. She received her education in the Placid country schools. On June 1,1938 she was united in marriage to Cyril "Billy" Urbain at St. John's Catholic Church in Placid, Iowa. She and her husband farmed in the Fillmore area for many years. She also worked as a bartender at the Boar's Nest in Cascade and Nobles in Farley, IA for 10 years and was a cook at the Cascade Drive Inn.

She was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Cascade and was a very active 4H Fillmore "Farmerettes" leader.

Dolores is best remembered for her dog bones, cinnamon rolls and homemade bread. She loved to crochet, was an avid quilter, seamstress and did many other crafts. She collected many angels' statues. She had a lot of faith in Angels and said the daily rosary.

She is survived by four daughters, Delda Hershberger of Platteville, WI, Mary Agnes Kass of Sherrill, IA, Becky Johnson of Cascade, IA, Tami (Gary) Hammel of Zwingle, IA; one son, Tony (Jackye) Urbain of Dubuque, IA; 33 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Theresa (Roland) Stecklein of Cascade, IA; and a sister-in-law, Madonna Leib of La Porte City, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cyril "Billy" Urbain on March 26,1988; three sons-in-law, James Hershberger, Vincent Kass and Vince Mausser; three grandchildren, Stephanie Sherwood, Jeff and Katie Kass; four brothers, Donald, Richard, Howard and Dennis Leib; and one sister, Dola Kramer.
