Mrs. Mary Ellen O'Rourke, 67, widow of John O'Rourke, died at Mercy on Tuesday. Funeral to Cathedral on Friday - burial at Mt. Olivet.

Born May 13,1878 in McGregor, Iowa daughter of Thomas and Mary Connors Flanagan. Educated at St. Mary's Convent in Wichita, Kansas and married in May, 1895 to John O'Rourke at Austin, Minnesota.

Surviving are 9 children: Mrs. Charles J. Schrup, Mrs. Eleanor Fifield, Dorothy, Lorraine and Mrs. John P. Morgan, Robert E. and Eloise, all of Dubuque; John of Chicago, and Lt. jg Thomas E., US Navy, stationed at Gulfport, Mississippe. Also by one brother, John Flanagan, Forsyth, Montana and 2 sisters, Mrs. Carl Kuhn, Bremerton, Washington and Genevieve Ferris, Rochester, MN. Also by a sister-in-law, Honor O'Rourke and brother-in-law, Edward O'Rourke of Dubuque.

Preceded by her husband and a son, Gerald E. O'Rourke.
