Anthony J. Schockemoehl, 56, well known Worthington business man, died at 3:10 p.m. Monday at his home after a short illness. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the family home in Worthington to St. Paul's church, with burial in the church cemetery. The Steger funeral home,
Dyersville, will have charge.

He was born Jan. 6, 1893, in Worthington. He married Barbara Wolf on Nov. 18,
1913. They lived on a farm for a few years, then he and George Tobin formed the Worthington Oil company. He bought Tobin's interest in 1945 and had operated the company alone since then.

Surviving are the wife; three sons, Howard of Dyersville, and Louis and James, both of Worthington; eight grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Schockemoehl, of Worthington and a brother, Frank, of Worthington.
