Death of Miss Higgins

A special telegram received yesterday announced the death of Miss Stella Higgins near Elkader, Clayton, County, where she was engaged as a teacher. Deceased was somewhat known in this city, living, when here, in Mr. B. S. Niedman’s family to whom she is related. She is a cousin of John J. Sheridan, the grocer, who, accompanied by his sister, takes the early train this morning to attend the funeral. Her death occurred yesterday morning at 5:30 o’clock, and beyond the brief dispatch little else is known.
