A Sad Affliction

Within the brief period of eleven days Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Flanigan have been again called upon to mourn the death of their second child. Sunday, May 11, their first born, Clem, died of scarlet fever, and again yesterday. The youngest, Lester, aged 2 years, succumbed to the same disease. It is a sad affliction for the bereaved parents and calls forth expressions of sincerest sympathy from the community. Taken away just in the interesting period of their childhood the absence of the little ones casts a shadow of inestimable
loneliness upon the home and the bereavement is indeed a keen sorrow, almost inconsolable except in the thought that beyond the shadow there is rest and peace in which it is infinitely certain that two small white-robed souls are assured of an abiding place through all eternity beyond the reach of pain and sickness.

Little Lester was buried at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, Rev. B. Roche
officiating.
