ENCOURAGING – SONS COMING

Reports from Scott Benson are that he is resting easy and that his condition is considered very encouraging. Although very weak, he was able to recognize his attendant’s part of Sunday afternoon, but towards evening became restless and irrational again. After midnight he rested quietly, and slept most of Monday, being conscious at the times when he did awaken. His attendants think he is quite a little stronger. He is recovering the use of his left arm and leg and prospects are good for his continued improvement.

His sons, Messrs. C. W. and W. S., Jr., of Alvin, Texas, are on the way and should arrive in Dubuque Tuesday night. His brothers are residing in Omaha and the other in New York state, have not been notified of his illness, his attendants concluding to await the arrival of his sons to decide that.
