Donald R. Birch

Donald R. Birch, 64, of 595 Jefferson St. died at 12:55 p.m. Friday at Mercy Medical Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Nativity, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Strueber Funeral Home, where the Scripture Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Birch was born in Dubuque. He wad employed at the Battery Factory for 18½ years, and recently had been a utility housekeeper at Mercy Medical Center.

Surviving are his wife, the former Madonna M. Haun; two sons, Kenneth R. and David L., both of Dubuque; two grandchildren; 5 brothers, Howard and James Birch, both of Dubuque, Carl Birch of San Antonio, Tex., Melvin Birch of Westminster, Colo., and Kenneth Swift of Clawson, Mich., and a sister, Mrs. William (Virginia) Bryant of Arvado, Colo.
