Mrs. Leona M. Birch

Mrs. Leona M. Birch, 66, formerly of Rt. 1 Dubuque, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dubuque Health Care Center.

Her husband, Leo A., died May 5, 1965.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resurrection Church at Asbury, with burial in the Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 Monday at the Didesch Funeral Home, where the scripture wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Birch was born in Milwaukee, Wis.

Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs. Harold (Darlene) Pendley of Rogers, Neb., Mrs. Robert (Velma) Kammerude of Hazel Green, Wis., Mrs. William (Barbara) Wallace of Tipton, Iowa, Mrs. Roger (Theresa) Brimmer and Mrs. James (Jeannie) Hitzler, both of East Dubuque, and Mrs. Anthony (Sylvia) Hitzler, Mrs. Ellen Hitzler, and Elaine Birch, all of Dubuque; five sons, Leo A., Allen J., and Burton, all of Dubuque, David G. of Peosta, Iowa, and Gerald of East Dubuque; 65 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Adeline) Birch of Dubuque.
