Rosemary B. Amos, 77, of 2230 Woodland, died at 3:48 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Resurrection Catholic Church. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, where there will be a wake service at 3 p.m.
Rosemary was born on Jan. 11, 1928, in Dubuque, daughter of Frank J. and Mary M. (Roeth) Bewer. She married Marvin Amos on Sept. 27, 1952, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Dubuque; he preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1986.
Mrs. Amos worked for Northwest Bell Telephone Co. from 1945 to 1956, and in 1956, she retired to become a full-time mom.
Surviving are a son, James (Vickie) Amos, of Peosta, Iowa; a daughter, Cathy A. Amos, of East Dubuque, Ill., seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Marty) Conlan, of Dubuque, Kelly Amos, Katie Jo Amos and Jimmy Amos Jr., all of Peosta, Nick Meyers and Carl Meyers, both of East Dubuque, and Amber Meyers, of East Dubuque; a great-granddaughter, Gracyn Conlan; a sister, Ruth (Allen) Herbst, of Dubuque; a nephew, Mark Herbst; three nieces, Yvonne (Jack) Coons, Patsy Vincent and Sharon Amos; and a brother-in-law, Art (Earlene) Amos.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
