Sharon R. Lemmer, 68, of Dubuque Nursing and Rehab Center, died Friday, June 8, 2007, at Dubuque Nursing and Rehab Center.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on March 28, 1939, in Dubuque, daughter of Kenneth and Lura (Keller) Amos.

She was a 1957 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School.

Sharon lived a simple life and was an active member of St. Luke's Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.

She enjoyed reading, playing the piano, collecting angels and visiting with her family and many friends.

Surviving are a sister, Patsy Vincent, of Dubuque; two nieces, Julie (Hobie) Wood and Hope Brandel, both of Dubuque; a nephew, Dean Shaw, of Dubuque; a great-niece, Emily Brandel, of Dubuque; and a great-nephew, Jennings Brandel, of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Lura Amos; and a brother-in-law, Brian Vincent.

In lieu of flowers, a Sharon Lemmer Memorial Fund has been established.

Sharon's family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at the Dubuque Nursing and Rehab Center, Hospice of Dubuque and Andrea Beacham for taking good care of Sharon.
