Jacob John "Jake" Adams, 25, of 815½ University Ave., passed away peacefully at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

Jacob was born on May 7, 1986, in Dubuque, son of Allen R. And Theresa K. (Parker) Adams. He married Andrea J. Mueller on May 9, 2011, in Dubuque.

He worked at Tri-State Concrete.

Jake enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, riding his motorcycle, swimming and skiing. Jake enjoyed playing guitar.

Surviving are his wife, Andrea J. Adams, of Dubuque; a daughter: Lillian S. Chapman, of Dubuque; his mother, Theresa Adams, of Dubuque; his sister, Bobbie Jo (Brandon) Rondeau, of Dubuque; two brothers, Allen Adams and Daniel Adams, both of Dubuque; many nieces and nephews; his paternal grandfather, Jerry Adams, of Dubuque; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

A Jacob J. "Jake" Adams Memorial Fund has been established.
