Martin Hayes of Dubuque, 19 years old who was ambitious of becoming a circus tumbler, broke his neck in a singular manner. He was training in a sawdust heap and attempted to turn a double somersault, when he struck on his head and broke his neck. He died threee{sp} hours later. He had frequently done the act before.
