Norma E. March, 72, of 1528 Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, Sherrill.

Mrs. March worked at AY McDonald for 25 years before her retirement.

She was born on April 10, 1933, in Dubuque, daughter of William and Margaret (Hantelman) Hammerand. She married Dale R. March on Sept. 27, 1975; he preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1997.

She lived in Dubuque County, all of her life and graduated from Dubuque Senior High School.

She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Sherrill, Walther League as a teenager and Ladies Aid at church in her younger years.

She loved reading and gardening. She loved her children and in-laws. "Our Angel went to heaven."

Surviving are five children, Richard (Carla) Moore, of North Carolina, Linda Moore and Larry, of Dubuque, Bobby "Bear" (Jeanne) Moore, of Indiana, Tom "Kegger" (Diane) Moore, of East Dubuque, Ill., and Sallie Burnette, of Florida; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Hammerand, of Dubuque; a sister, Grace (Joe) Margan, of Dubuque.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Arthur Hammerand and an infant brother.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque, for all of their loving care. A special thanks goes to Dawn and Laura.
