PEOSTA, Iowa - Raymond M. Brown, 77, formerly of rural Peosta, died early Thursday morning, Dec. 21, 1995, at Oakcrest Manor, Dyersville.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Melleray, rural Peosta. Burial will be in the church cemetery, where there will be a flag presentation. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Epworth, where there will be a scripture wake service at 6 p.m.

Mr. Brown farmed on the family farm in rural Peosta until his retirement in 1981.

He was born on July 10, 1918, in Peosta, son of William and Elizabeth (Ryan) Brown.

He received his education in the rural Peosta country schools.

He was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion, Post 528, of Cascade, and Holy Family Catholic Church and its altar and rosary society.

Surviving are three sisters, Marie Brown, of Sunnycrest Manor, Dubuque, and Mabel Odefey and Eileen Tuegel, both of Dubuque; a brother, Eldon Brown, of Heritage Manor, Dubuque; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Elizabeth and Margaret, and an infant sister; and three brothers, Louis and two infant brothers.

A Raymond M. Brown Memorial Fund has been established.
