Frank H. Oberbroeckling, 76, of Dubuque, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, April 23, 1999, at Sunnycrest Manor.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, with burial in Holy Family Cemetery.

He was born on July 31, 1922, in Bankston, Iowa, son of Aloysius and Catherine (Ablein) Oberbroeckling.

He served in the Navy as a chief radio technician from 1942 to 1946. Upon returning from the Navy, he farmed with his brother, Dick, in rural Dubuque. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, before his illness. He was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School and Bayless Business College.

Surviving are two brothers, John "Dick" (Gertrude) Oberbroeckling, of Dubuque, and Robert Oberbroeckling, of Tucson, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Henry, Jude, Albert, Alios and Ed.

The family would like to thank the staffs at Julien Care Facility, Sunnycrest Manor and Mercy Hospital for their loving care.
