MR. WM. ROESNER DEAD
~
Prominent Saloonkeeper Passes
Away This morning at the Family Residence
~
The hearts of many friends of Mr. William Roesner were saddened by the unexpected intelligence that he, after but a few days illness, which was not considered serious, had died the Wednesday morning at his residence, corner of 23rd and Jackson Streets, at the age of 33 years.

He was a son of the early and respected settlers of this city, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Roesner Sr., and was born and raised here. He learned the printing business in the office of the National Demokrat, and worked there for a number of years, until about two years ago he entered and successfully carried on another business in the northern part of the city.

Honest, faithful, kindhearted and of a cheerful disposition, he made friends of all who came to know him, and they mourn his loss, but no less than his wife and son, who lost a kind husband and father, his aged parents and two sisters, Mrs. Jos. ?isler, and Mrs. Alois Glab, and his brothers, Jacob Roesner Jr., and Fred of this city and Peter of San Francisco.

The deceased was a member of the St. Aloysius Society, as also of Marquette Court No. 811 of the Catholic Order of Foresters, who will attend the funeral, which will take place from the late residence on Saturday morning at 9 o’clock, after services at the Holy Ghost Church. Interment in the German Catholic Cemetery.
