Mrs. Richard (Mary Jo) Becker, 44, of Manor Care Nursing Center, formerly of 3489 Kaufmann Ave., died at 5:50 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 1995, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Resurrection Catholic Church, with burial in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Becker worked at Aladdin Magic Clean Inc., Dubuque and at Woolworth Co., Dubuque, as a bookkeeper.

She was born on June 1, 1951, in La Motte, Iowa, daughter of Merlin and Rita (Weber) Capesius. She married Richard J. Becker, on June 2, 1972, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, La Motte.

She graduated from Marquette High School, Bellevue, Iowa, and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Becker, of Dubuque; a daughter, Stacey Becker, of Dubuque; her parents, Merlin and Rita Capesius, of La Motte; her grandmother, Anna Capesius, of Green Bay, Wis.; two brothers, Merlin D. Capesius, of Davenport, and James (Mary) Capesius, of Bettendorf, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Richard (Carol) Watters, of Davenport, Mrs. Steven (Sharon) Schumacher, of Hazel Green, Wis., Mrs. Timothy (Susan) Flogel, of La Motte, and Mrs. Daniel (Barbara) Gleason, of Kieler, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Capesius.
