Mrs. Lorraine M. Becker, 93, of 2220 Rhomberg Ave., died peacefully at 11:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1700 Lincoln Ave. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 3 p.m.

She was born on March 21, 1911, in Dubuque, daughter of Warren and Evelyn (Henney) Cushing. She married Herbert A. Becker on April 22, 1931, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church; he died on June 11, 1976.

She was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School.

Lorraine was a full-time wife, mother and homemaker while her family was growing.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and her faith was very important to her. She walked to church every morning for Mass for as long as she could and had a strong devotion to the rosary.

She enjoyed traveling with her children and was always "ready to go." Her greatest joy was to be with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are four daughters, Patricia A. Schnee, Bonnie J. (Jerry) Roussel and Lynn C. (Bob) Jochum, all of Dubuque, and Jolene M. (Bruce) Drapeau, of St. Catherine, Iowa; a son, Donald F. (Barbara) Becker, of Dubuque; 34 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maylou Lange, of Dubuque, and Darlene (George) Schlegel, of Burnsville, Minn.; a brother, Warren (Rose) Cushing, of Dubuque; two daughters-in-law, Betty "Babe" Becker, of Cedar Lake, Ind., and Carol Becker, of Dubuque; and many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by two sons, John "Jack" Becker and Robert "Bob" Becker; two grandsons, Steve Becker and Herbert Hoffmann; a daughter-in-law, Anna Mae Becker; a son-in-law, Thomas Schnee; and a sister, Helen Burdt.

Memorials may be sent to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1700 Lincoln Ave., Dubuque, Iowa 52001.
