CASCADE, Iowa - Clara C. Wieneke, 84, 417 Second Ave. S.W., Cascade, died at 12:55 a.m. Friday, May 15, 1998, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cath-olic Church, Cascade, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m.

She was born on June 21, 1913, in Cascade, daughter of John and Susan (Lahr) Manternach. She married Edward Wieneke on Feb. 11, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cascade.

She received her education in the former St. Mary's School, Cascade. She was a member of St. Matthias Parish and its altar and rosary society, and the Cascade Senior Citizens. She enjoyed quilting with her friends, tending her flower gardens around her home, and playing cards with friends and relatives from Cascade and Temple Hill.

Surviving are her husband, Edward Wieneke, of Cascade; a son, Dr. Gerald Wieneke, of Emmetsburg; two brothers, Msgr. Albert Manternach and Francis "Skip" (Betty) Manternach, both of Cascade; and five sisters, Sally Neyens, of Cascade, Sister Ann Marie Manternach, OSF, of Marshalltown, Theresa (Sam) Kurt, of Cascade, Monica Manternach, of Odessa, Texas, and Irmina "Min" Dolphin, of Cascade.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sister Julia Manternach; and her brothers, Pete and Leo Manternach; and Nicholas and Josephine Manternach, both in infancy.

A Clara C. Wieneke Memorial Fund has been established.
