CASCADE, Iowa - Kathleen M. Ward, 45, of 401 Garfield St., Cascade, died at 7:55 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Cascade, with the Rev. Daniel Krapfl officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cascade. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there will be a wake service at 4:30 p.m.

Kathleen worked at Nordstrom's Distribution Center in Peosta.

She was born on Sept. 15, 1959, in Monticello, daughter of Loren and Pat (Scott) Ward. She was a 1977 graduate of Cascade High School. She also attended Mount Mercy College, Cedar Rapids, and Northeast Iowa Community College, Peosta.

She was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church in Cascade.

Surviving are her mother, Pat Ward, of Cascade; four brothers, James Ward, of Pleasant Ridge, Mich., John Ward, of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Loren (Robin) Ward, of Las Vegas, and Scott Ward, of Cascade; an aunt, Loretta Gotschall, of Las Vegas; and two uncles, Richard Scott, of Kimberly City, Mo., and John Scott, of Olate, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Loren Ward, on June 5, 1973.

Memorials may be given to New Melleray Abbey or Hospice of Dubuque.
