Violet Bresee, 79, of Chicago, formerly of Dubuque, died Sunday, May 16, 2010.
Services will be at noon, Friday, May 28, at Center Grove United Methodist Church, Dubuque. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was the loving mother of Jeffery Kelley; beloved wife of Joseph Chavina; fond sister of Betty Foley and Mary Clark; and like a second mother to all her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Bresee and Mary Altman; sisters, Florence Piel, Bonita Haury, Helen Moore and June Wechet; and brothers, Francis Bresee and Richard Bresee.
