ZWINGLE, Iowa - Gordon H. Bradley, 79, of rural Zwingle, died at 6:10 a.m. Sunday, April 8, 2001, at home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Center Grove United Methodist Church, with burial in Center Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave. Friends may also call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

He was born on Dec. 13, 1921, in Zwingle, son of Gordon and Bell May Bradley. He married Dorothy M. Blosch in 1944, in rural Zwingle; she passed away in 1996. Gordon and Dorothy farmed their entire married life in rural Zwingle.

He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1939. He and Dorothy were members of Westminster Presbyterian Church for many years.

Surviving are three sons, Virgil Bradley, of La Motte, Daryl Bradley, of Zwingle, and Gordon D. (Connie) Bradley, of Peosta; two daughters, Linda (Arthur) Pearson, of Warrenville, Ill., and Colleen Bradley, of Zwingle; eight grandchildren, Lucretia, Elizabeth and Richard S. Bradley, Arthur IV and Christopher Pearson, Bobby Donovan, and Rebecca and Gordy Bradley; two brothers, Cornelius (Lois Ann) Bradley, of La Motte, and Richard (Valita) Bradley, of Zwingle; and a sister, Evelyn (Dr. Robert) Smith, of Albany, Ore.

A Gordon Bradley Memorial Fund has been established.
