Patrick Shannon, aged 54, died at the family residence, 1588 Washington Street December 3, at 11:00 a.m. Deceased was born in County Galway, Ireland in 1849, and emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1863. Ten years ago he moved to Dubuque, where he has since resided.

Mr. Shannon was a boiler maker by trade and was employed in the Milwaukee shops. Deceased was much admired for his many manly traits of character and for his gental manner.
