DIES AT 75

Joseph A. Rhomberg, 75, of 1710 Diane Court died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at Mercy Medical Center.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Columbkille’s Church with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. Monday at the Hoffmann Mortuary, where the rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Monday.

Mr. Rhomberg was born in Dubuque, he was a member of St. Columbkille's Holy Name Society; the Third and Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus; the Sierra Club; the Dubuque Notre Dame Club, the Dubuque Shooting Society 330 Club; Mercy Medical Center Lay Advisory Board; the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce; and Dubuque Post 6 of the American Legion. He was past president of the Dubuque Rotary Club; he was president of the Rhomberg Pension Consultants, Inc., and secretary-treasurer of the Dubuque-Wisconsin Bridge Co. He was past member of the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society and American Red Cross.

He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife Josephine; a daughter, Mrs. James Mehail of Milwaukee, Wis.; a son Joseph Jr. of Dubuque; five grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Al (Victoria) Finch, Mrs. Paul (Kathri) Gerrig and Mrs. Albert (Rita) Entringer, all of Dubuque, Dr. Charlotte Rhomberg, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. Dan (Ann) Sullivan, of Albany, N.Y. ; and two brothers, Albin A. and Louis, both of Dubuque.

Memorials may be given to Catholic Charities of the Dubuque Archdioceses and Hillcrest Services.
