Mrs. Mary a. Kolfenbach, 61, 794 Seminary Street, mother of the Rev. Edgar C. Kolfenbach, assistant pastor of St. Boniface Church, New Vienna, died 5:15 p.m. Sunday at Xavier Hospital. Mrs. Kolfenbach had been ill for six years and seriously ill for 10 days.
The body is at the Didesch Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday and from which the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday to St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Kolfenbach was born Aug. 20, 1887 at Highland, Wis., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kisting. She was married Sept. 3 to Edgar G. Kolfenbach, and came to Dubuque 40 years ago.

Surviving are her son, Father Kolfenbach: three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Rosemary) Kelly, of Rosemead, Calif., Mrs. Ray (Arnolda) Meissen, Dubuque, and Sister M. Alacoque (Rita) of Visitation Academy: four grandchildren, John Edward, Mary Rae, David and Anna Marie Meissen, all of Dubuque; four brothers, William, Harry and Bernard Kisting all of Dubuque, and Albert Kisting of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Lil) Kertels of Farley, Mrs. William (Clara) Bray of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. N. R. (Agnes) Helling of Manchester, and Mrs. Milton (Ester) Kluck of Dubuque, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband, who died April 10, 1947, two children who died infancy, her parents and one sister.
