CALLED TO REWARD

The death of Mrs. Johanna Houps, 68 years of age, occurred Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock at her home, 162 Alta Vista Street, after several month illness. She was born in Germany, June 11, 1850, and resided in this city for thirty-two years.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James Coffee and Miss Harriet Houps, of this city; two sons, Charles with the American Troops in France, and Fred of Dubuque; two sister Mrs. Mary Byrne and Mrs. Emma Byrne, of LaCrosse, Wis.; and one brother Fred Bergener, of Shullsburg, Wis.: also two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral services will take place Friday morning at 9 o’clock from the residence to St. Mary’s Church. Interment will be made in Linwood Cemetery.
