FARLEY, Iowa - Marcille M. Pins, 79, of rural Farley, died at 6:17 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. John Haugen officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m. Friends also may call after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

She was born on Nov. 18, 1933, in Farley, daughter of Lawrence and Edna (Klein) Ahlers. She is a graduate of the former St. Joseph's High School in Farley. She married LaVerne L. Pins on Nov. 18, 1952, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley; he preceded her in death on May 15, 2007.

Marcille enjoyed crocheting, gardening and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and its altar and rosary societies. Surviving are six children, Debbie (Earl) Oberbroeckling, of Dyersville, David (Grace) Pins, of Farley, Rodney (Rhonda) Pins, of Cedar Rapids, Cindy Pins, of Dubuque, Sherry Pins, of Farley, and Brenda (Tom) Steger, of Guttenberg; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Carey (Darlene) Ahlers, of Worthington; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Donna Goerdt, of Dyersville, Marilyn (Bill) Beyer, of Epworth, Aileen Pins, of Dubuque, and Fred Goedken, of Petersburg.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeffrey William Pins, on March 24, 1968; a sister, Janice Geers; a brother, Lawrence L. "Peanuts" (Mary) Ahlers; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Elaine Goedken, Clarence and Catherine Pins, William R. Pins and Lloyd Goerdt.
