FARLEY, Iowa - David L. Nadermann, 50, of 3042 West Fletcher, Chicago, formerly of Farley, died, Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery where military rites will be accorded by the Farley American Legion Post 656, and the New Vienna VFW Post 7736. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 5 p.m.

He was born on March 23, 1951, in Manchester, son of Alfred A. and Vivian (Burns) Nadermann.

He was a graduate of the former St. Joseph's High School in Farley, Iowa. He was also a graduate of Columbia College in Columbia, Mo., with a BA degree.

David was a veteran, he retired from the Army in 1989.

He was employed as a cook and manager of a restaurant in Chicago.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 02978 and a member of the American Legion Post 0473 both of Chicago.

Surviving are four children, Michelle Nadermann, of Cambridge, Mass., David Nadermann, of Chicago, Nichole Nadermann, of Shirley, Mass., and Andrew Nadermann, of Chicago; a brother, Charles (Nola) Nadermann of Farley; and a sister, Jane (Larry) Losey, of Lehigh Acres, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A David L. Nadermann memorial fund has been established.
