FARLEY, Iowa -- Robert F. "Bob" Link, 77, of 7681 N. Pleasant Grove Road, Farley, died at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Mercy Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m.

He was born on Nov. 22, 1931, in Farley, son of Alphonse and Leonetta E. (Freking) Link. He married Delores M. (Feldmann) Link on June 3, 1952, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Worthington; she preceded him in death on July 30, 1995.

Robert farmed in the Farley area and also worked for Tri-State Well Drilling Co., after which he worked at Kuhmann Construction Co., until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and The Altar and Rosary Society.

Robert enjoyed playing cards with his neighbors and friends. He was an avid collector of IH tractors and enjoyed going to tractor pulls. Most important to him was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was looking forward to meeting his first great-grandchild.

Surviving are special friend, Rosella Feldmann, of Worthington; six daughters, Debra (Carl) Snedden, of Windom, Minn., Diane (Mark) Schmitt, Darla (Steve) Benda and Donna (Ron) Ament, all of Farley, Denise (Steve) Kuenster, of Farmersburg, and Danette (Joe) McElmeel, of Cascade; three sons, Randall (Cris) Link, and twin sons, Ron (Cathy) Link and Rod (Tammy) Link, all of Dubuque; 25 grandchildren; three brothers, Donald (Kay) Link, of Epworth, Delbert (Lois) Link, of Dubuque, and Lavern "Red" (Karen) Link, of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Elaine (Adrian) Korbel, of Dubuque, and Doris (Paul) Schreiber, of Withee, Wis.; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Art (Laura) Feldmann and Rita (Floyd) Feldmann, all of Hopkinton.

He also was preceded in death by his parents.
