Verna R. Kluesner,74, died Monday, Oct. 2, 1995, in Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade, after a sudden illness. Services: 11:30 a.m. Thursday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a rosary at 4, Scripture wake service at 7, and fireman's service at 8 p.m.

Survivors include five daughters, Dianne Batteram of Hazel Green, Wis., Therese Renz of Earlville, Barbara Kluesner of Cedar Rapids, Rosalyn Nurre of Petersburg and Lois Wubben of Galena, Ill.; eight sons, Daniel, Robert, Edwin and Craig, all of Farley, Vernon and Cyril, both of Dubuque, Allen of St. Louis and Ernest of Marion; and three sisters, Viola Gaul of Luxemburg, Bernice Lansing of McGregor and Marita Cook of North Buena Vista.

Also surviving are 20 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph C. Kluesner, on June 5, 1981; a grandson, Ryan Wubben, on March 4, 1989; four brothers, Albin, Edwin, Elmer and Virgil Wulfekuhel; and two sisters, Barbara and Anita Wulfekuhel.

A Verna R. Kluesner Memorial Fund has been established.
