FARLEY, Iowa - Mrs. Richard (Henrietta C.) Kluesner, 81, of 28015 Olde Fort Road, Farley, died at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a parish rosary at 4 p.m., and a wake service at 7 p.m.

She was born on May 11, 1920, in Petersburg, daughter of Joseph and Dena (Nefzger) Dingbaum. She married Richard Kluesner on Aug. 20, 1940, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Petersburg.

Etta was a very warm and loving woman. She loved the simple life and its pleasures. She was never afraid of hard work or lending a helping hand.

She had a great love for flowers and her gardens. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting and crocheting. To know her children is to know her.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Kluesner, of Farley; six children, Rita (James) Boge, of Manchester, Marlene (Lloyd) Till, of Farley, Shirley (Jerry) McDermott and Marietta (Dan) Ostwinkle, both of Cascade, Richard (Josephine) Kluesner, of Somers, Conn., and Theodore (Dianne) Kluesner, of Dubuque; 25 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Antoinette Pasker, of Manchester, Luella (Jack) Pasker, of Ryan, Luvern Dingbaum, Rosemary (Bill) Pasker and Betty Luensmann, all of Manchester, and Irvin (Mary) Dingbaum, of Oelwein; and two sisters-in-law, Geneva Dingbaum, of New Vienna, and Elsie Dingbaum, of Dyersville.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin Dingbaum and Leonard Dingbaum.

We are sincerely thankful and grateful for all the fine care Shady Rest Care Center extended to Mom during her stay and to us during the last long hours. Thanks also to Father Dennis Cain, Father John Ptacek and Father Daniel Krapfl.
