FARLEY, Iowa - Arlene J. Kluesner, 67, of 8882 Farley Road, Farley, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Oak Crest Manor in Dyersville.

Friends and relatives of Arlene may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, where a prayer service will be held at 3 p.m. Services for Arlene will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Farley, with the Rev. John Haugen officiating. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Farley.

She was born March 4, 1946, in Farley, daughter of Ralph and Jeannette (Naber) Boge. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Farley. On Aug. 26, 1967, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Charles Kluesner, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Farley. The couple farmed in the rural Farley area.

Arlene was a hard worker and an outdoors enthusiast. She could always be found working in the garden, from which she shared much of her produce and raspberries. She also loved to bring a smile to someone's face. She had a very outgoing personality and could talk to anyone. Her family and grandchildren were the love, pride and joy of her life.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and its altar and rosary societies.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Kluesner, of Farley; three children, Gary (Lynn) Kluesner, of Farley, Lynn (Jim) Hammerand of Epworth, and Marty (Abby) Kluesner, of Farley; 12 grandchildren, Sarah, Justin, Abigail, and Garret Kluesner, Ethan, Trenton, Isaiah, Leo, and Dominic Hammerand, Ben, Ryan, and Colin Kluesner; three sisters, Alice (Robert) Besler, of Worthington, LouAnn Kozicki and Marilyn (Harry) Bortel, both of Green Bay, Wis.; and a brother, Roger (Mary) Boge, of Farley.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Mary Margaret Kluesner; a brother-in-law, Mike Kozicki; and a granddaughter, Angela Kluesner.
