EPWORTH, Iowa - Thaddeus Charles Ernzen, 4-month-old son of Dan and Melissa Ernzen, of 302 Countryside Drive, Epworth, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Epworth, with the Rev. Raymond Burkle officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. The Reiff Funeral Home, Epworth, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on June 9, 2002, in Dubuque, son of Dan and Melissa Ernzen.

Surviving are his parents, Dan "Doc" and Melissa Ernzen, of Epworth; grandparents, M.J. and Joan Jarding and Melvin and Barb Ernzen, all of Farley; great-grandparents, Frank and Ardella Connolly, of Epworth, and Catherine Driscoll, of Centralia; aunts and uncles, Rod (JoAnn) Kramer, of Epworth, Jeff (Kay) Ernzen, of Farley, Marty (Angie) Recker, of Peosta, Kevin (Michel) Theisen, of Epworth, Michael Ernzen (friend, Kelly Rindl), of Farley, Keith Jarding (fiancee, Joyce Neuhaus), of Dubuque, Jeff Jarding (friend, Jody Buskohl), of Coralville, Joe Jarding (friend, Beth Kluesner), of Farley; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Merlin Driscoll, Ray Ernzen, Marvin and Helen Jarding and Arthur and Rita Duggan.

A Thaddeus C. Ernzen Memorial Fund has been established.
