FARLEY, Iowa - Laurina C. Drees, 82, of 204 Second St. S.E., Farley, died Friday, May 12, 2000, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where the Farley Fire Department and Dyersville Fire Department will meet at 6:15 p.m., and there will be an American Legion service at 7 p.m. and a wake service at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Drees was a cook for the Farley St. Joseph's School hot-lunch program and also did catering for funerals and weddings.

She was born on Jan. 9, 1918, in Luxemburg, daughter of Peter and Caroline (Bries) Wagner. She married Vincent H. Drees on Oct. 29, 1940, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Luxemburg; he died June 24, 1960.

She received her education in the Luxemburg area schools. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Farley, and a member of its altar and rosary society. She was a loving a mother and grandmother.

Surviving are a daughter, Shirley (Ed) Fett, of Peosta; four sons, Vincent (Doris) Drees Jr., of Freeport, Ill., Jerry "Goose" (Barb) Drees, of Farley, Larry (Margaret) Drees, of Dyersville, and Joseph "Chico" Drees (and friend Marilyn Koerperich), of Worthington; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grand- children; and a sister, Katie Errthum, of Dubuque.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Joe, Mike, Tony, Bill, Clarence and Allie Wagner; and two sisters, Rose Moris and Irene Hefel.

A Laurina C. Drees Memorial Fund has been established.
