FARLEY, Iowa -- James C. "Wimp" Davidshofer, 67, of rural Farley, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at his home in rural Farley.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Military rites will be accorded by Farley American Legion Post 656. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m. and Farley American Legion
He was born July 28, 1940, on the home farm in rural Farley, son of Leo F. and Hyacinth (Kramer) Davidshofer. He graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School in Farley.
He farmed on the home farm in the rural Farley area.
Jim was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Farley, a member of the Army Reserves and a member of the Farley American Legion Post 656.
Surviving are two brothers, Walter (Frances) Davidshofer, of Worthington and Leo (Joyce) Davidshofer, of Dubuque; 13 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews; and Flora.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Fred Davidshofer; and a sister-in-law, Clara "Toots" Davidshofer.
